The long awaited return to the ring of popular Indonesian Daud Cino Yordan (32-3-0-1, 23) appears to have been rescheduled to June 7th and is set to take place in China.
The "Indonesian Thunder" has had a frustrating few months with scheduled bouts twice falling through already this year. His last scheduled date was April 2nd when he was supposed to defend his IBO Lightweight title against Emmanuel Tagoe from Ghana. That bout was cancelled with very little news about and it appears that even Yordan wasn't sure why it was cancelled.
With Yordan now the hope of Indonesian boxing we hope his career can kick start again with no more delays and we dare say that if this June 7th bout doesn't come off he may well become disillusioned with the sport.
Although no opponent has been confirmed there is a strong rumour that it will be the teak tough Mongolian Choi Tseveenpurev (36-7, 24) who fought Yordan back in 2012 in Singapore. At 42 Choi has seen much better days but he's always a fun fighter to watch and we certainly wouldn't grumble if we Yordan/Choi II.
