From what we understand Filipino match maker Aljoe Jaro is furious after a very exciting looking bout he had spent time organising has been called off.
Jaro, one of the best known match makers in the Philippines, had thought he had made one of the fights of the year by pitting hard hitting Filipino Lorenzo Villanueva (25-1-0-1, 22) against Defry Palulu (10-0, 9) of Indonesia.
The bout had apparently been all but agreed for June 28th with everything being agreed and only a signature from Palulu's team being needed.
It seems however that the Indonesian got a better off from ALA gym and will instead be fighting AJ Banal (30-2-1, 21) a week earlier, much to the anger of Jaro.
It appears that with this bout falling through the card will need to be totally restructured and there is also a story that suggests Sonny Boy Jaro's (36-13-5, 26) fight with Ichal Tobida (10-11, 8) is off as well. To be fair Jaro/Tobida was a mismatch though it's still a shame to see this card crumbling with just weeks to go until the event.
