Today the two men took part in their wiegh in for the contest, and both made weight, despite looking in different weight classes.
The taller, and longer looking Nakatani, was bang on the limit and looked like a young fighter who wanted to prove a point. He was in great shape, and at the weigh in he spoke about his training, which has seen hiom sparring with Daniel Roman. The youngster looked full of confidence, but it's clear that this is his toughest bout on paper, and is a big step up from his Rookie of the Year win lasr year.
The shorter, more powerful looking, Akui also came in on the limit and seemed like a man determined to make a statement. He spoke about wanting to become a regular staple at the Korakuen Hall. He's tipped by some as a real one to watch and he's been proving them right recently with a series of impressive stoppages, stopping his last 5 foes in a combined 7 rounds!
This should be exciting, explosive, and brilliant!
