Japanese youngster Juiki Tatsuyoshi (1-0, 1) made his professional debut earlier this year stopping Tadao Iwaya in 2 rounds back on April 16th. That performance may not have been as polished as the debuts of Kosei Tanaka or Ken Shiro but it was still a highly impressive performance from the 18 year old, especially considering the pressure that was on his shoulders and a lack of amateur experience.
Juiki, the second son of the immensely popular Joichiro Tatsuyoshi, knew that he had to do more than just win his debut, he had to impress and he did and now he'll be hoping to impress on his second professional bout.
It was announced on Tuesday that Juiki's second bout as a professional boxer will come on July 20th against the limited Naoki Okamura (1-3).
The bout isn't a mouth watering match up, but sadly Juiki is a real novice and came to the pro-ranks with out an extensive amateur background. Whilst he is already a big attraction due to his name it's clear that his promoters are trying to allow him time to develop and this bout is based on development. Although limited Okamura has only been stopped once, 41 seconds before the scheduled finish, and it's fair to say that Tatsuyoshi's team want to see their man really work to record a stoppage here.
The bout will take place at the Namihaya Dome in Osaka and details regarding the full card are not available. Hopefully we'll have more details shortly there their is some hope that the card may feature one of hf Juiki's top stablemates, such as Sho Nakazawa, a very bright prospect.
