It seemed Bastillada had Waminal hurt near the end of the third but could not finish him off. It turned into a give and take affair, but Waminal did enough to convince two of the three judges.<br /><br />The scores &ndash; Judges Rolando Mendoza and Michael Espinosa both had it 77-75 for Waminal, while Edgar Olalo scored 77-75 for Bastillada.<br /><br />It was a disappointing outing for Bastillada, an active duty police officer in Toledo City, who was expecting to win his first regional belt in front of his home fans. Waminal, for his part, stopped his four bout losing streak.<br /><br />In a battle of prospects, Arlando Senoc (6-0,5KO&rsquo;s) needed only forty one seconds and a punch to the solar plexus to stop Eugene Noynay (6-2,1KO) in the opening round.<br /><br />Carlo Bacaro (13-1,8KO&rsquo;s) dropped Chinese boxer, Wanxuan Lin (3-2,1KO) in the first round and cruised to a unanimous decision victory. Waminal is an eleven year pro but has lost his last four fights. Three of these bouts however, were held overseas in Thailand and Japan.<br /><br />Both boxers easily made the featherweight limit, identical at 125 lbs, during the official weigh-in held at the Conequip building in Mandaue City. The fight is set for eight rounds and will be held Wednesday July 23 in Toledo City, Cebu at the Barba Sports Complex.<br /><br />There are eight undercard matches, one of which will feature a Chinese boxer, Wanxuan Lin (3-1,1KO) against Carlo Bacaro (12-1,8KO&rsquo;s) in a welterweight six rounder.<br /><br />Arlando Senoc (5-0,4KO&rsquo;s) will try to remain unbeaten against fellow prospect Eugene Noynay (6-1,1KO) in a six rounder.
