This past weekend saw a number of bouts being televised on Korean TV. One of those saw WBA female Super Featherweight champion Hyun Mi Choi (11-0-1, 4) fight in her non-title bout.
The 2-weight world champion, who was born in North Korea, took on former title challenger Keanpetch Superchamps (6-10-1), form Thailand, and made very light work of the challenger who was stopped in just 3 rounds by the unbeaten "Defector Girl Boxer".
The two women had met back in May 2014, in a a WBA female Super Featherweight world title defense, with Choi winning that one in 8 rounds. This time however Choi put in a much better performance, stopping the Thai in less than half the time she had needed for their first bout.
On the same card fans saw local fighter Ki Hong Min (6-0, 2) claimed the World Boxing Federation Asia Pacific Light Middleweight title with a close 10 round win over Mohamadreza Hamze (7-7-1, 2) in what was another rematch.
