Earlier this week the KBA announced details of a July 4th show being promoted by Buffalo Promotions. The full details, including the venue, have yet to be decided but there have been 7 matches announced for the show, as boxing continues to bounce back in Korea.
The main event of the card will see In Duck Seo (12-3-2, 7) [서인덕] and Jung Kyoung Lee (8-3-1, 4) [이중경] battle in a 12 rounder for the WBA Asia Welterweight title.
It's rare to actually get legitimately excited about a Korean bout, especially those put on by the KBA, but this one is legitimately mouth water. Seo, whilst not the best fighter out there, is a crude puncher who's sensational KO last year over Tysinn Best in Australia put him on the international map, and had followed a notable win over Heuk San Lee. Sadly he has lost his last 2, but will feel this is a great chance to get back to winning ways.
Lee on the other hand is a former OPBF Light Middleweight champion, having won the title in early 2019 when he stopped Samuel Colomban. He lost that belt in his first defense, to Akinori Watanabe, but has bounced back with a win over Saddam Kietyongyuth.
The other noteworthy bout announced for this card will see once beaten teenager Jong Bin Lim (4-1-1, 1) [임종빈] take on the hard hitting Min Hyuk Jang (5-0, 5) [장민혁] in a 6 rounder.
Coming in to this the 18 year old Lim will be looking to bounce back from a loss to Hwan Young Jo last year whilst Jang will be looking to continue his run of destruction, and building on his latest win, which happened this past weekend in Siheung.
At the moment there are 5 other bouts pencilled in for the show, but all of those are low level 4 rounders.
