On Friday night at the Media Plus Studios, in Hialeah, Florida, we had a trio of hard hitting Asian fighters in the ring, all picking up wins. These weren't the biggest bouts, but they all ended in impressive fashion with all three of the trio picking up wins.
The quickest of the wins was scored by Kazakh fighter Serik Musadilov (8-0, 8) [Серик Мусадилов], who needed just 43 seconds to over-come Mexican foe Daniel Najera (9-6-1, 4). An early attack hurt Najera, who covered up as Musadilov unloaded on him, sending him to the canvas where he took the 10 count. Not for the first time it's been very clear that Musadilov needs a step up and these bouts are doing little more than padding his record.
US based Tajik fighter Mekhrubon Sanginov (8-0-1, 6) bounced back from a September 2019 draw with Fred Wilson Jr as he beat Cleotis Pendarvis (21-6-2, 9), forcing a 4th round TKO win over the American foe. Sadly this was the third loss in a row for the 34 year old Pendarvis, who hasn't scored a win since July 2017 and has now ben stopped 4 times. Although once a serviceable contender level fighter at 140lbs we do wonder what he has to offer at Light Middleweight or Middleweight, which is where his last 3 bouts have taken place.
The most eye catching performance came from hard hitting Filipino Jameson Bacon (25-4, 17), who flattened Roque Agustin Junco (10-7-1, 6) with a brutal left hook in round 2. The shot knocked out Junco before he hit the canvas in a genuine KO of the Year contender. An absolute beauty of finish by the 30 year old Filipino. Notably this was Bacon's second win in that space of about 5 weeks and he his career now has some momentum, despite a loss to Darragh Foley just over a year ago.

Filipino welterweight contender Jameson Bacon now (W25 KO17 L4 D0) adds another win to his streak in the US as he disposed Argentinian foe Roque Junco in the second stanza. Junco was game since the opening bell but the more experienced Filipino caught him with a perfect left hook to the jaw in the second round. Junco was dropped unconscious to the canvass and the referee waved his hands off without counting.
This is Bacon's second sensatiinal KO win in Miami and gives way to bigger fights on US soil.
