Although Mongolian professional boxing is certainly not particularly large right now, with very few names of any note, they do have a pretty decent set of amateur fighters. One of those is standout Erdenebatyn Tsendbaatar [Э.Цэндбаатар], who competed at the 2016 Olympic games and managed to reach the quarter finals.
The Mongolian youngster is looking to remain an amateur, for now, but has got big plans for a professional career.
The 22 year old told the Mongolian press that he was looking to turn professional after the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
It's worth noting that Tsendbaatar recently won a gold medal at the Asian Games in Jakarta and will be looking to build on that success in the coming years as he continues to build on his amateur reputation and his growing status as one of the brightest boxing hopefuls in the Land of the Eternal Blue Sky.
