Right now it seems that Filipino stable ALA Gym are taking over the US as they all prepare for upcoming bout and take part in some high level sparring.
Originally it was Genesis Servania and Milan Melindo who were sent out there. Then we heard they'd be joined by WBO Light Flyweight champion Donnie Nietes, who is preparing for his rematch with Moises Fuentes. The latest man to join them is WBO Minimumweight champion Merlito Sabillo, pictured.
Sabillo, who defended his title with a draw over Carlos Buitrago last year, hasn't yet got his next bout arranged though will be hoping that training in California, San Diego and Tijuana. It's hoped that this this sparring will prepare him for another top level opponent and help hone his skills.
We're unsure on Melindo's return to the ring though expect Servania's next fight to be on March 1st. As for Nietes negotiations are on going as to when and where his bout with Fuentes will take place, the only thing that's obvious about that bout is that it will be incredibly tough for Neites looking at their first fight together.
