Several weeks ago we saw the announcement of a December 29th show being promoted by Ohashi gym. The card, which will be headlined by Naoya Inoue (8-0, 7) returning to the ring to defend his WBO Super Flyweight title against Warlito Parrenas (24-6-1, 21), is one of the best of the the year and has 4 title bouts, including 2 world title bouts, an OPBF title bout and a Japanese title bout.
So far only a single non-title bout for the card has been announced, and that was only announced today and yet still looks to be a very exciting and good looking contest.
The match up in question will see world ranked Ohashi fighter Ryo Matsumoto (16-0, 14) battle against upset minded Filipino fighter Jestoni Autida (9-3, 4).
On paper it may appear to be a mismatch, however Autida comes into this bout on the back of a career defining 8th round TKO win over Ratchasak KKP, back in August, and also holds a win over the then unbeaten Jeffrey Francisco. For Matsumoto a win will be expected but the pressure will be on him to perform with a potential world title bout looming in 2016.
For those who missed Autida's break out win we have included, in full, below.
