Earlier today we were informed that Flash Akabane had organised their next card, a card set to take place on April 12th at the Korakuen Hall.
At the moment the card hasn't been fully set in stone, but there has been several bouts confirmed and announced.
The main event of the show will see OPBF Super Middleweight champion Yuzo Kiyota (29-4-1, 27) [清田 祐三] defending his for the 4th time. At the moment his opponent hasn't been named but we are expecting the opponent to be named in the week or so.
The main event isn't the only bout of note and the co-feature is also a also a very notable match up. That bout will see former Japanese Flyweight champion Suguru Muranaka (22-2-1, 7) [村中 優] battle against Shun Ishibashi (10-18-1, 4) [石橋 俊] in an 8 round bout at 53KG's. The bout is taking place above the Super Flyweight division limit following serious weight issues involving Muranaka, who hasn't fought since April 8th last year, when he was stripped of the Japanese Flyweight title for coming in over-weight.
Muranaka was supposed to fight in October last year, against Hideyuki Watanabe, though failed to make weight for that bout which was subsequently cancelled. As for Ishibashi, he has gone 2-4 in his last 6 bouts and was stopped last time out by Shingo Kawamura.
Another of the notable bouts on the card will see Takenori Ohashi (11-4-2, 7) [大橋 健典] battle the once beaten Yoshitomo Watanabe (8-1, 6) [渡邊 義友] in a really good looking 8 rounder at Featherweight.
