Tomorrow American fans get a treat at the world famous Madison Square Garden. The card features not on Gennady Golokvin (33-0, 30) but also Flyweight sensation Roman Gonzalez (43-0, 37), who defends his WBC Flyweight title against Brian Viloria (36-4-0-2, 22).
On Friday night the two men took part in their official weigh in for their bout and although made weight both looked like men who were at the verges of leaving the Flyweight division in the not too distant future.
Gonzalez came in at 111lbs for what will be his third defense of the title. Although a full 1lb under the weight we have heard persistent rumours that he's likely to make this bout his final one at 112lbs before making a march at Super Flyweight.
Viloria came in at 111.4lbs and despite, again, making the weight comfortably in regards to the numbers also looked like a fighter set to abandon the division, if not the sport as a whole
