Earlier today fans in Hyogo saw Toshimasa Ouchi (20-8-3, 6) [大内淳雅] take a huge step towards getting a title fight, as he scored a 7th round TKO win against Akiyoshi Kanazawa (13-5-4, 7) [金沢晃佑].
The 30 year old Ouchi, who has now recorded 4 successive wins, took control of the bout early on, using his speed to control the early stages. Although offensive Ouchi also showed off his counter ability, dropping Kanazawa with a brilliant counter shot.
Knowing he was behind Ouchi began to turn the fight around with a gutsy fight back however Ouch regained his control of the bout and forced the stoppage of Kanazawa, who saw both the referee and his corner stop the bout at the same time.
After the win Ouchi suggested he was looking toward to get an OPBF title fight, though it's fair to suggest that he would currently be the under-dog against reigning champion Jonathan Taconing.
On the same fans also saw 2015 Rookie of the Year finalist Tenta Kiyose (8-1-2, 2) [清瀬天太] make light work of Thailand's Petchkaorat Kaolamlekgym (0-1), with a 2nd round KO.
