This coming Wednesday Japanese fans will get the chance to see two female world title bouts. Ahead of those bouts the fighters under-went their medical examinations, with all 4 fighters being over-looked by doctors today.
Thankfully all 4 fighters passed all the examinations however there was some notable details revealed in the numbers that the doctors took.
Of the fights the headline grabbing contest is the WBO female Super Flyweight title bout between defending champion Daniela Romina Bermudez (17-3-2, 5) and Japan's Tomomi Takano (8-1, 5). The measurements taken of the two fighters showed the impressive size advantage that Takano has with the Japanese fighter boasting a 13.5cm height advantage and an 8.5cm reach advantage. It's needless to say that Takano will need to use those advantages to over-come Bermudez who will be looking to come inside and make the fight an up close affair.
The other bout will see Kumiko Seeser Ikehara (7-1-2, 3) defending her WBO female Minimumweight title against Momoko Kanda (9-7-2, 3). At the medical these two were seen to be almost identical with the only difference being Kanda boasting a 1cm height advantage.
