Just a few moments ago several British betting firms opened betting on this Friday's Middleweight bout between Ryota Murata (4-0, 4) and Adrian Luna Flores (17-2-1, 11), and they all had Murata as the favourite.
Not only did they all agree that Murata was to be favoured but he was to be heavily favoured with many of the bookies opening their line at 1/100 in favour of the Japanese Olympic gold medal winner. The only bookies that didn't have the bout that wide was Paddy Power who had Murata at an equally unbackable 1/80.
For those fancying the massive upset Luna Flores was widely available at 16/1 or 18/1 depending on where you looked. Even those odds are surprisingly short given the fact the Mexican struggled on the scales and has never fought at this level before.
For those interested in the draw it's been priced at 35/1 by some bookies.
Unfortunately the only market available at the time of writing is the win market. A shame as there may have been some values in the under/overs.
