Tomorrow is a busy day for Japanese fight fans who have an amazing day of TV viewing ahead of them with 5 world title bouts spread across 3 TV broadcasts over an almost non-stop tame period.
On the latest of those televised shows fans will get the chance to see WBA Light Flyweight champion Ryoichi Taguchi (22-2-1, 9) defend his belt against Colombian challenger Luis de la Rosa (24-5-1, 14).
Today those men weighed in and both made weight. On the scales Taguchi was the heavier man, at a little over 107¾lbs whilst De la Rosa, the naturally much smaller man, was just under 106½lbs making him closer to being a Minimumweight than a fully fledged Light Flyweight.
Interestingly quotes given to the media suggest that Taguchi will seek an all-Japanese unification bout in 2016, with Akira Yaegashi and Yu Kimura being possible options for the WBA title holder.
