Highly ranked Filipino youngster Randy Petalcorin (20-1-1, 15) will be returning to Australia in March to make the 3rd defense of his PABA title.
Petalcorin, who is ranked in the top 15 of the the WBA, WBO and IBF, looks set to defend his title against recent world title challenger Lookrak Kiatmungmee (7-5, 4) who was, famously, a late replacement opponent for Xiong Zhao Zhong after Omari Kimweri was refused permission to fight in China.
The bout, a mismatch on paper, is likely to be used more as an opportunity to keep Petalcorin active more than anything else with the 22 year old Filipino still very much a work in progress.
Lookrak, to his credit, will go in to this bout as the under-dog though will know that there is little pressure on him and nobody will be expecting another other than a gutsy performance from him.
Also on this card we're expecting to see the unbeaten and very highly touted Harmonito Dela Torre (11-0, 6), though his opponent has yet to be announced.
