Several months ago we reported the rumour that Amnat Ruenreong (16-0, 5) would be defending the IBF Flyweight title against Myung Ho Lee (19-4-1, 6). About a week we confirmed that that was more than just a rumour with Japanese sources confirming the bout.
Yesterday saw Osaka Teiken not only confirming the bout, but also holding their own press conference to announce the bout and offer Lee a chance to address the press, as well as confirming some specific details.
Firstly the details are that the bout will be held in an outdoor arena at the Hua Hin Centential Club in Hua Hin province and the bout will take place on December 7th.
At the press conference Lee admitted that he had watched Amnat's fight with Kazuto Ioka and was impressed by Amnat's tactics and ability, though seemed confident of having a game plan that was going to work to his advantage. He did though confess that he knew that Japanese fighters have never won a world title fight in Thailand, other than interim title fights.
Lee also joked about his out-of-the-ring job, which involving on skewers, and seemed to hint that if he was to beat Amnat he would take the belt with him to work.
