Over the past few days the WBC send out their monthly newsletter with a link to their updated rankings and their Boxer of the Month. We're proud to announce the Boxer of the Month, as decided by the WBC, belongs to Japanese 21 year old Naoya Inoue (6-0, 5).
The WBC have given that honour to Inoue following his sensational victory over Adrian Hernandez on April 6th. That victory over the more experienced Hernandez saw Inoue capturing the WBC Light Flyweight title with a 6th round TKO victory that allowed Inoue to become the fastest Japanese world champion in history with just 6 fights.
The WBC have also included Naoya's brother, Takuma Inoue, in their most recent world rankings, giving him a #14 position in the Light Flyweight division following his excellent victory over Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr on the same show.
