We've often tried our best to do what we can to get attention to Korean boxing and Korean fighters. Often however the fighters have been over-looked and few have managed to show the talent or potential to make a mark on the boxing scene outside of Asia.
One man however has shown the ability and promise to make an impact on the global scene. That it Korean slugger Min Wook Kim (13-1, 9), a former OPBF champion and a really exciting, heavy handed and aggressive fighter who makes TV friendly bouts. Style wise he is made for the US audience.
This coming weekend Kim will get the chance to make US debut at last as he fights at the Don Haskins Convention Center in El Paso, Texas. Kim will be up against the experienced Sergio Rivera (27-15-2, 17) in what should be a straight forward win for the Korean but a perfect way to kick off his US campaign before more notable bouts, possibly later this year
Ahead of his US debut RedGloveNews did an interview with Kim and his team, Ty, who we've exchanged e-mails with, Javier Capetillo and Javier Capetillo Jr, for those
interested we've included that video below.
