Earlier today in Japan saw the weigh for tomorrow's Teiken promoted show in Osaka. The card features a number of notable and interesting bouts including the professional debut of Juiki Tatsuyoshi (0-0), the second son of the legendary Joichiro Tatsuyoshi.
Juiki will be making his debut in a 4 round bout at Super Bantamweight, as he faces off against domestic rival Tadao Iwaya (1-2) at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium.
On the scales Tatsuyoshi was 121lbs, well inside the divisional limit of 122lbs, though looked in sensational shape for a man making his debut. Iwaya was slightly heavier at 121¼lbs, again well inside the divisional limit. Despite being the heavier man on the scales Iwaya was actually the heaviest of his career, which had seen all 3 previous bouts being fought at Bantamweight.
For those wanting to watch this bout it's not expected to be broadcast on the NTV broadcast, instead it will be aired on Yomiuri TV. Sadly we know this could be an issue for fans outside of Japan wanting to watch the bout. Hopefully however a video of the contest will reach the net before long.
