Recently we reported that Indonesian sensation Iwan Zoda (10-1,9) on August 20th. It seems however that those plans have been altered with Zoda's actual ring return being put back a week, to August 27th. Despite the delay fans in Indonesia shouldn't be too disappointed that the youngster will have to wait another week to have a real fight as he will be taking part in a number of exhibition events to try and increase interest in boxing and himself.
His trainer, Damianus Yordan, has stated that there will activities taking place from August 8th to August 13th with at least one exhibition bout taking place during that time frame.
We still don't know who Zoda will be facing this month though it seems clear that people are trying to help get boxing some attention in Indonesia and hopefully the hard work will play off in the long term with more fights taking place across country and more prospects, like Zoda, being unearthed. Events like this may well help the Indonesian scene unearth some new talent.
