Later this week Indonesian fans get a genuine treat with a card headlined by a bout between Daud Yordan (34-3-0-1, 24) and Japan's fun to watch Yoshitaka Kato (29-6-1, 9) [加藤善孝]. It turns out however that the that's not the only interesting match up on the card.
Another bout, albeit an exhibition, will see former 3-time IBF Super Flyweight champion Ellyas Pical (20-5-1, 11)* face former sparring partner Feras Taborat (0-8)*.
The bout, which has a very high billing on the card, will see Pical back in the ring at 55 years old, and more than 33 years since his professional debut, as for Taborat he'll be fighting more than 25 years after his 1990 debut.
The "bout" will consist of 2 rounds, each lasting 90 seconds, with the hope being to try and get the attention of boxing fans in the country and try to give Indonesian boxing a shot in the arm with Pical being a boxing legend in the country and it's first world champion.
*Indonesian records are notoriously incomplete
