Earlier this week we reported that OPBF Super Bantamweight champion Hidenori Otake (28-2-3, 12) [大竹 秀典] was set to return to the ring on July 19th to make his first defense of the title, on the same card as the Shingo Wake's (20-5-2, 12) [和氣 慎吾] bout with Mikihito Seto (34-13-3, 18) [瀬藤 幹人].
Yesterday saw Otake's bout being confirmed with the teak tough former world title challenger now set to defend his belt against fellow veteran Kinshiro Usui (27-5, 11) [臼井 欽士郎], who was last seen suffering a razor thin loss to Hisashi Amagasa.
On paper the bout looks liek a really good match up, despite the fact the fighters are 35, Otake, and 37, Usui. They are both young for their age, and should put on a thrilling contest with both men having fan friendly and aggressive styles.
It's worth noting that the winner of this bout is expected to defend the title in October in what promises to be an even bigger, and more intriguing fight.
