On February 4th we reported that Indonesia's exciting Daud Cino Yordan (32-3-0-1, 23) was set to return to action on March 28th in in China. It appears those plans have changed, probably after the demise of former Chinese world champion Xiong Zhao Zhong.
Now it seems that Yordan will be returning a little later than previously expected though in more familiar territory. Rather than fighting in China on March 28th it looks like Yordan will be fighting in Perth, Australia on April 2nd.
As with the originally planned bout Yordan will be defending his IBO Lightweight title for the second time, though no opponent has yet to be named, leaving us to assume it won't be someone particularly well known. That however doesn't mean Yordan will be fighting someone poor just someone with out a big reputation, so it could well be a potential banana skin opponent like Simpiwe Vetyeka was last year.
Yordan, who is currently training at Harry's Gym in Australia to prepare for the bout, will be fighting in the country for the third successive bout and his fourth in total. It seems that whilst it's not quite home it is quickly becoming a home away from home for the popular fighter known as "The Indonesian Thunder".
