Last year we saw Ohashi Gym continue to match their fighters in some tricky assignments, one of the trickiest saw the then WBA Atomweight champion Ayaka Miyao (20-6-2, 4) [宮尾 綾香] attempt to unify her WBA belt with the WBC title held by Momo Koseki [小関 桃]. Sadly for Miyao that resulted in a narrow decision loss to Koseki in a bout that was later voted the 2015 Japanese female fight of the year.
It's not been revealed that the 32 year will be returning to the ring on April 10th at the City Culture Hall in Soka, Saitama.
At the moment the full details of the bout haven't been announced, and that includes an opponent for Miyao, however we do know that the bout is expected to be a non-title bout and there is talk of it taking place closer to the 105lb limit than the 102lbn limit, with Miyao possibly dipping her toes at the Minimumweight limit, like she did last year against Momoko Kanda and the year before against Yokfah Mor Krungthepthonburi.
We hope to bring more details on this one when it's fully announced, with an under-card, though we thought it was worth making our readers aware that this former champion has got a return date set.
*Ohashi gym list an addittional bout on Miyao's record that isn't featured on boxrec.com, who list her as being 20-6-1 (4)
