This coming weekend fight fans around the globe will be able to see WBO Light Flyweight world champion Kosei Tanaka (8-0, 5) [田中恒成] battling against Puerto Rican challenger Angel Acosta (16-0, 16).
Today, just days away from that bout, the Japanese press had the chance to see Acosta in flesh as he took part in a public work out and looked in tremendous shape during a 90 minute work out and also seemed very confident as he spoke to the media.
It was clear from his comments that he has a lot of respect for Tanaka but also a lot of confidence and it's obvious that he believes his power will be the key to over-coming the champion. He also didn't seem to be effected by the jet lag and travelling that has seen him travel from Puerto Rico to Japan in recent days.
The work out saw Acosta do various training exercises whilst wearing a sauna suit, despite the fact he seemed to be happy with his weight at the moment. He worked the mitts, skipped rope and did some shadow boxing whilst looking like the powerful and scary fighter that has stopped 16 opponents so far.
