Sources in China have reported that former amateur star Zou Shiming (8-1, 2) [邹市明] will be returning to the ring on November 5th as part of the upcoming Manny Pacquiao Vs Jessie Vargas card.
At the moment the sources haven't revealed an opponent for Shiming but have indicated that he could be in one of the key bouts on the show and that their is hope that a win will open doors for him to get a major bout in the near future.
The bout will be Shiming's second in the US, seeing him return to America after his June win over Jozsef Ajtai. He will however need a much better performance than he had over Ajtai or there is a risk Top Rank will stop giving him such huge opportunities. For those who can't remember the bout with Ajtai simply stunk with the Hungarian youngster essentially running away from Shiming whilst the Chinese fighter looked confused and failed to show any ability to cut off the ring.
We're expecting more details to be revealed on this one in the coming weeks, but for now the details are scarce with some suggesting that he may be getting a world title bout on the show, if the cards fall in his favour.
