Tomorrow Japanese fans at the Korakuen Hall will be in for a treat with several notable bouts. One of those contests is a 10 round bout at a contract 124lbs between world ranked Super Bantamweights Yukinori Oguni (16-1-1, 5) [小國 以載] and Mike Tawatchai (38-8-1, 21) [ไมค์เกษตรพัฒนา].
Today the two men made the contracted limit with Tawatchai being the slightly heavier man, at 123.9lbs. Despite being the heavier man he will be at a notable disadvantage in terms of natural size with Oguni towering over him. Despite being the shorter man he did look very good on the scales and appeared to be the more well built of the two men.
As for Oguni he was 123.7lbs, and was ripped for a bout that he seems to view as a serious test en route to a potential world title bout.
Coming into this one both men are ranked in the top 10 by the IBF, with Oguni also holding world rankings with the WBC and WBO.
