Last year Japanese boxing fans saw the emergence of Welterweight puncher Yuki Beppu (8-0, 8), who claimed the All-Japan Rookie of the Year crown at Welterweight.
The 23 year old Beppu, who surprisingly debuted way back in October 2012, racked up 6 wins last year including a notable 2nd round KO victory over Hironobu Matsunaga in Rookie of the Year final in December. He'll now be hoping to continue his fine run of results when he returns to the ring in his first bout of 2015.
At the moment the full details of Beppu's first bout of the year aren't known though we have been informed that it will be on Orio promoted show on May 24th in Fukuoka and that Beppu will be fighting in his first 8 rounder, with his opponent expected to be a Thai visitor.
