Tomorrow fight fans in Japan will get the chance to see IBF Light Flyweight champions colliding as "regular" champion Akira Yaegashi (25-5, 13) [八重樫 東] takes on "interim" champion Milan Melindo (35-2, 12) in a bout to unify the titles. Today, ahead of their clash, the two men took part in their day-before weigh in and both men managed to make weight.
On the scales both men were marginally under the divisional limit of 108lbs, and both looked in good shape for the bout. Melindo was slightly more drawn than Yaegashi, however his bone structure does look like it played a part in looking so drawn and drained, but neither looked like they struggled with the scales and instead both men looked in great shape.
Although both men made today's weigh in they will both have to go through a second weigh in tomorrow morning as part of the IBF's rules, and it could be that tomorrow's weigh in more interesting than today's was.
