On august 31st we will get the next big Japanese show, a word title double header promoted by the well established Watanabe gym.
The card will be headlined by two world title bouts, one of those will see WBA Super Flyweight champion Kohei Kono (32-8-1, 13) [河野 公平] and defending his title against Luis Concepcion (34-4, 24) in a potential FOTY candidate whilst the other will see WBA Light Flyweight champion Ryoichi Taguchi (24-2-1, 11) [田口良一], who will face fellow Japanese fighter Ryo Miyazaki (24-1-3, 15) [宮崎 亮], which will bother be televised across the TV Tokyo network.
Earlier this week Watanabe released the poster for the show which continues along the design concepts of many of their other top posters, featuring red, black and red colour along with the fighters involved. It's not the greatest of posters but we do like how it features all the key fighters, and their names along with some other details regarding the card, including things like date and time.
At the moment the full card has been revealed however the main attention will be on the main bouts. As for the under-card the most notable name in action will be Japanese ranked Super Bantamweight Daisuke Watanabe (3-2, 2) [渡部 大介] who will be up against San Saknarong (4-6, 2), who is 0-6 in Japan. Sadly none of the under, including this bout, will be shown on TV with TV Tokyo possibly featuring some of the bout on their youtube channel, if we get lucky!
