Mongolia may not have many boxing stars through it's history but it does seem like we're on the verges of one fighter really making his mark and putting his country on the boxing map. That is is the unbeaten, and hotly tipped, Tugstsogt Nyambayar (2-0, 2) who makes his ring return on August 27th at The Hangar in Costa Mesa, California makes.
As an a amateur Nyambayar was a sensation winning medals in the Olympics and the World Amateur Championships. He's now looking to be fast tracked as he attempts to do the same in the professional ranks.
Having taken out his first two foes in a combined 3 minutes 48 seconds we're now set to see Nyambayar take a step up in class as he moves from 4 round bouts into bouts scheduled for the 8 round distance. Sadly we've not yet been informed of who he will be fighting though we are hoping to see a step up in class for the insanely talented 23 year.
Sadly so far Nyambayar has fought off TV making footage of his professional bouts hard to come by though fan cam footage has shown that he's got impressive power, timing, speed and punch variety and it seems that he really does have all the tools the be moved very quickly through the ranks. Hopefully his August 27th bout is a step up and gives us a real indication of just how good he is. Given he's just 23 years old however we can understand his team perhaps not rushing him, yet. Given his talent however they will not be able to hold him back for too long.
