Tomorrow Japanese fans in Kanagawa, at Camp Zama, will get the chance to see several notable fighters in action, including former world champion Tenkai Tsunami (22-11, 11) [天海 ツナミ], who has taken a bout on 2 weeks notice with Thailand's Tantip Sithsaithong (0-3).
The bout, which isn't listed on boxrec at the time of writing, will be Tsunami's second bout since she was defeated in Chile by Carolina Rodriguez last year. It does however come just weeks after she partook in a public exhibition with Tomomi Takano. Despite the recent exhibition the fighter admitted she wasn't in perfect condition given the short notice for this bout.
Despite the short, for both fighters, they each made weight with with Tsunami coming in around 117.3lbs, well under the Bantamweight limit, and Tantip scaling just 116.2lbs, suggesting she's probably a Flyweight if she's given a proper training camp.
Incidentally this bout will see Tantip fight in Japan for the 4th time, in her previous 3 she has been stopped, and it seems likely that run will continue here.
