The comeback opponent of former WBC Flyweight champion Toshiyuki Igarashi (18-2-1, 11) was named earlier by Teiken.
We knew Igarashi, who has been out of the ring for almost a year after suffering an unfortunate injury, would be returning on September 6th. What we didn't until earlier today was who he would be fighting. That mystery was solved when Teiken announced that Igarashi would be battling against Filipino fighter Renren Tesorio (13-4-3, 4).
Tesoria has a nice looking record on paper though in reality he shouldn't act as much of a test for Igarashi who should be too god for the visitor, at least if Igarashi is firing on all cylinders.
Of course that's the big question. Will, on his return, Igarashi be the figter the once was? He will he feel with a year of ring rust? And was there any long term issues from the injury?
If there are lingering issues than surrounding Igarashi then this is a potential upset though with the long layoff we would assume that Igarashi is back to full fitness and will be coming back to the ring with real hunger and determination to succeed. If that's the case this could be a short night for Igarashi
