Tomorrow fight fans with TV channel G+ will get the chance to see the next in the long line of Dynamic Glove shows. The main of that card will see former WBC Flyweight champion Toshiyuki Igarashi (23-2-2, 12) [五十嵐 俊幸] battle against world ranked Miguel Cartagena (15-3, 6) in what could, potentially, act as a final bout before the winner gets a wold title fight.
Today those two men weighed in for their bout and both men made the Flyweight limit.
Igarashi, who is returning full time to the Flyweight division after a short flirtation with Super Flyweight, was bang on the divisional limit of 112lbs. That was heavier than Cartagena who was closer to 111.6lbs for the bout and was the notably shorter man.
Coming in to this bout Igarashi is likely to be made the WBO mandatory challenger if he wins, and will see his potential world title shot go up in smoke if he loses. For Cartagena, who has never been beaten at Flyweight, this is a huge change to build on a surprise upset win over Filipino Joebert Alvaez, who he stopped inside a round last July.
