According to reports in Panama fight fans will get the chance to see former multi-time world title challenger Hiroyuki Hisataka (24-16-1, 10) [久高 寛之] return to the ring on March 17th to take on former world champion Luis Concepcion (35-5, 24), in what will be a fan friendly fight.
According to TVmax-9, one of the leading Panamanian media outlets in Panama, the bout will take place in Japan and see Concepcion look to move towards another championship reign.
Interestingly nothing in regards to the bout has been reported in Japan, with evene Hisataka's own blog not referencing the bout, though there appears to be speculation that the card will be announced shortly, and could be a pretty decent second tier show, in either Osaka or Tokyo.
Hisataka, aka the "Sexy Soldier", has a record that is misleading. He has been in with a genuine who's who and suffered losses to the likes of Tomonobu Shimizu, Takefumi Sakata, Panomroonglek Kaiyanghadaogym, Denkaosan Kaovichit, Sonny Boy Jaro, Hugo Fidel Cazares and Omar Andres Narvaez, among others. Although not a world class fighter he is someone who is rarely in a dull fight and will be a fun opponent for Concepcion.
As for Concepcion this will be his first contest since he lost the WBA Super Flyweight title to Kal Yafai in England, a title he had won in Tokyo against Kohei Kono. A win for the former champion would likely set him up for a bigger bout later in the year, possibly anoter world title bout against a notable Japanese name.
At the moment details are scarce on this bout, but an announcement is expected in the coming week or so.
