Earlier today in Thailand fans saw world ranked Thai Welterweight Teerachai Kratingdaenggym (35-0, 26) [ถิรชัย กระทิงแดงยิม], retain his PABA "super" title as he scored a 4th round KO win against Japanese based Dominican Vladimir Baez (21-2-2, 19), aka Destino Japan.
Baez had come in to the bout having never been stopped and appeared like a man who believed he could upset the unbeaten Thai, he wasn't to be scared and he wasn't worried. Sadly however for the visitor his courage ended up being a problem with Teerachai finding a place for his rigid jab and later finishing the Dominican in the 4th round with a devastating right hand that put Baez down hard.
The win for Teerachai sent the partisan Thai crowd wild and from the response of both the fighter and the crowd it seems like Teerachai may be getting rewarded with a big fight later in the year.
For Baez this was his first stoppage loss, and sees Teerachai doing in 4 rounds what neither Victor Manuel Cayo or Jason Pagara could do in 10.
