Tomorrow fight fans in Kumamoto will see local star Tatsuya Fukuhara (18-4-6, 7) [福原 辰弥] face off with warrior Mexican Moises Calleros (25-6-1, 14) in a bout for the WBO interim Minimumweight title. Today those two men weighed in for the bout with both making the weight for the contest.
On the scales both fighters came in around 104.5lbs, comfortably inside the Minimumweight limit, though both solid at the weigh in with neither man looking overly drained.
For Fukuhara the weight is around his normal for recent bouts, with the Kumamoto fighter typically weighing between 104lbs and 105lbs. As for Calleros the weight is lighter than he has been in recent bouts, where he as fought as high as 120lbs before. Despite fighting at a heavier weight he didn't seem to have any problems making the Minmumweight limit.
Calleros stated that his intention was to hunt a stoppage from the first round whilst it seems that Fukuhara has planned for a much longer fight.
Fukuhara looks to continues rise as he takes on exciting Calleros!
