Tomorrow's focus will be on Japan where we get two world title bouts, however we recently learned that there will also be a world class fighter in action in Thailand.
That fighter is former WBC Super Flyweight champion Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (46-7-1, 23) [สุริยัน ศ.รุ่งวิสัย] who will be facing off against Macrea Gandionco (11-3-2, 7), who was stopped in 3 rounds by Suriyan's younger brother Nawaphon this past May.
For Gandionco the bout sees him fighting in the Land of Smiles for the 4th time, and sees him on the round for a 6th successive fight. During that run however he has gone 1-3-1 (1) and has been stopped 3 times, once of which came to upcoming world title challenger Petchbarngborn Kokietgym.
Whilst the bout isn't expected to be a win for the visitor it is actually a good time to fight Suriyan who has fought just 20 rounds in the last 12 months and lost last time out to Anselmo Moreno, all the way back in April. Although inactive, compared to the rest of his career, Suriyan should manage to claim a win here and will likely find himself back in the world title mix at 118lbs,a division that looks likely to come alive over the coming weeks.
For fans wanting to watch Suriyan Vs Gandionco, the bout will be aired on Thai channel SD3 from 14:00 Thai time.
