Last week we reported that Korean female star, Su Yun Hong (11-1-1, 5) would be defending her WIBA Light Flyweight title on September 19th. Today we can confirm not only that Hong will indeed be defending her title, but also announce the name of her opponent.
Hong's opponent will be little known Thai fighter Namwaan Sithpracha (7-1, 4). The Thai will be fighting outside of Thailand for the first time and will be facing only her second opponent of note, having previously been stopped inside a round by former world champion Usanakorn Kokietgym. Given that Usanakorn was a nasty puncher there is no disgrace being blown out by her, but the rest of Namwaan's record tells us almost nothing about the challenger.
Interestingly boxrec.com do list this bout, though the under-card, which has been announce by the KBF, isn't included on the boxrec.com database, unfortunately that's unlikely to change given the stance that boxrec.com have made on Korean shows not sanctioned by the KBC in the past.
