Earlier this year we saw Thai youngster Stamp Kiatniwat (14-0, 6) claim the WBA interim Flyweight title when he out pointed the big punching Gregorio Lebron (13-3, 11). The two men were supposed to rematch earlier in December though, surprisingly, that bout never took place, despite some websites erroneously reporting a win for Lebron.
Whilst the details in regards to why the bout was cancelled several weeks ago are unclear it is very clear that the bout didn't take place and the websites reporting the original "result" had been mislead.
Now, according to sources in Thailand, the bout is back on and is being rescheduled for early 2016. At the moment there is no date set in stone so to speak, but it is looking very likely that the bout will take place on February 5th at a yet to be specified venue.
For those who were wondering why no footage had emerged of the supposed rematch, we suspect this may clear things up, however it is highly peculiar that the bout didn't take place and they didn't seem to publicly explain why. Thankfully this does however clear up some of the confusion.
