Japan has a lot of promising young fighters breaking through the ranks at the moment. One of those is Teiken's very exciting Shuya Masaki (2-0, 1) who is viewed as a man likely to be fast tracked to a national title on route to progressing much further in his career.
Today it was announced that Masaki would be returning to the ring on December 11th for his third professional bout, a contest against 29 year old Fumio Ujihara (4-2, 3). From what we under-stand this will be a 6 round bout with Masaki expected to face his first real test as a professional.
The bout will be staged as one of the under-card bouts on the recently announced "Overheat Boxer's Night" which will be headlined by Yuzo Kiyota defending his OPBF Super Middleweight title against Michael Speed Sigarlaki. At the moment the rest of the card is less than inspiring with no other real bout of note on it.
