Earlier today we reported that Juiki Tatsuyoshi (1-0, 1) would be fighting on July 20th. At the time no other news had broken regarding the card though we did suspect that his stablemate Sho Nakazawa (6-0, 4) would be added to the card. Now we can reveal that he has indeed been added to the show and that he will be in a really interesting match up.
The match up that was announced will see Nakazawa battle against former world title challenger Silvester Lopez (23-10-2, 17) of the Philippines.
Lopez is best known by Japanese fans for challenging the then WBC Super Flyweight champion Yota Sato, with that bout seeing Lopez drop a wide 12 round decision. Since that loss Lopez has gone 4-6-1 (2) with his career really struggling to get going though he did recently, back in December, shocking the then unbeaten Rex Wao in 7 rounds. More recently however Silvester was himself stopped by China's Qui Xiao Jun.
For Nakazawa, who is also known as the "Sho of Naniwa", this is a big step up in class however the 22 year old is tipped to go all the way and a step up like this will tell us more about him than his previous bouts have. A win is expected but a a stoppage would be impressive for the youngster who has gone the distance in his last 2 bouts.
A third bout confirmed for will see Myung Ho Lee (18-4-1, 6) battle against Akiyoshi Kanazawa (12-3-4, 6) in an all Japanese bout at Flyweight.
