Earlier today it was revealed that a number of top Japanese based fighters were set to begin a "Camp of Hell" in Okinawa as they all begin work towards major fighters later in the year.
The fighters in question were WBC Bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka (25-0-2, 17) [山中慎介], who recently announced he would be in the ring in September to defend his title, former WBC Super Featherweight champion Takashi Miura (30-3-2, 23) [三浦 隆司], current WBC Lightweight champion Jorge Linares (40-3, 27) and former 2-weight world champion Hozumi Hasegawa (35-5, 15) [長谷川 穂積], who didn't was meeting the other 3 men in Okinawa.
From what we understand all 4 fighters will have major bouts in upcoming months. Linares will be facing off against WBC champion Anthony Crolla (31-4-3, 12) on September 24th, Yamanaka as mentioned will be in action in September, albeit against a yet to be announced opponent, Miura is rumoured to be on the verge of securing a rematch with Francisco Vargas (23-0-2, 17) for September whilst Hasegawa is said to have secured a September date to face Hugo Ruiz (36-3, 32).
