Earlier today Japanese fans in Okayama saw Seigo Yuri Akui (10-0-1, 6) [ユーリ阿久井 政悟] continue his excellent run of results of as he blew out Thai visitor Nattawut Siritoem (0-3) in just 31 seconds, scoring a 4th straight stoppage win.
The talented 21 year old, who first began to make a mark on the boxing scene in 2015 when he won the Light Flyweight Rookie of the Year, hardly broke a sweat. From the off Akui cut the distance and landed a lovely combination before landing a devastating body shot which sent the Thai to the canvas where to took the 10 count.
Although today's win was an easy one for Akui the bout did serve as just a warm up for him, before a May 17th bout against Ryuto Oho (9-3-1, 2) [大保 龍斗] in the Japanese Youth Tournament.
On the same card fight fans saw Takahiro Murai (15-7-2, 5) [村井 貴裕] take a razor thin split decision over teenager Kota Fujimoto (6-2, 2) [藤本 耕太]. The loss was Fujimoto's second straight defeat, following a December loss to Ryoji Fukunaga, whilst Murai bounced back from a defeat to Takeru Kamikubo.
