Tomorrow fight fans in Japan get the chance to see what we expect will be a genuine domestic treat. The bout in question will see the heavy handed Kosuke Saka (13-3, 10) [坂晃典] sharing the ring with experienced veteran Takafumi Nakajima (25-8-1, 10) [中嶋孝文] in what could, potentially, be the fight of the week.
The 24 year old Saka has won his last 5 by stoppage, including a win against Ryuto Kyoguchi, and looked in brilliant shape today at the weight. On the scales he was bang on the Featherweight limit and looked sensational for what will possibly be the toughest and most notable bout of his career so far and he will be aware that a win could put him in the domestic title mix for 2017.
Nakajima, a grizzled veteran at 32 years old, looked in solid shape himself though was comfortably under the limit at around 125½lbs. Although making the weight comfortably it should be noted that this is the heaviest weight of his career and he is the naturally smaller man. Although more experienced than Saka he is thought to be the under-dog due to moving up in weight.
