Earlier today Japanese star Ryota Murata (10-0, 7) [村田 諒太] took part in a public practise session ahead of his upcoming July 23rd bout against American George Tahdooahnippah (34-2-3-1, 24) on the under-card of the highly anticipated Terence Crawford Vs Viktor Postol bout.
The practice session saw Murata going through a variety of training methods including a spar with former foe Adrian Luna Flores (18-4-1, 11) for 3 rounds, shadow boxing and working the pads with his trainer as well as holding a press conference.
The Japanese fighter looked like he had been working on his straight right hand, which has long been his punch, along with his jab. And although he looked relatively slow in the footage we have seen he did look like he was working on technique rather than speed, and would be looking to get things right in the ring.
It was also confirmed today that the bout between Murata and Tahdooanippah would be aired on Fuji TV in Japan, though no date or time has yet to be given for the broadcast making it clear that the bout isn't at the forefront of Fuji's plan.
