A few hours ago WBC Flyweight champion Roman Gonzalez and his up coming opponent Rocky Fuentes underwent their medical examinations in Japan ahead of their world title fight this coming Saturday. The two men passed the physical examinations with no problems and following it their measurements were released.
The measurements given were very interesting and had the two men measuring at almost identical measurements. The two men were the same height with the only really notable difference between the two being a small but noticeable reach advantage for Fuentes.
Whilst the size between the two men is hardly noticeable the experience between the two is huge. Fuentes has 130 additional rounds on Gonzalez though Gonzalez is much more proven at this level, competing in his 12th world title bout. The difference in rounds is also a telling factor, showing that Gonzalez regularly stops foes and his average bout is around 4 rounds a bout whilst Fuentes is just shy of 7 rounds a fight. That edge in power is likely to be telling when the men get it on in the ring.
